Building Futures Through Education

Ashagifts’ sister project is Educate, a vision born in 2015 following the devastating earthquake in Nepal, my homeland. The catalyst was a poignant photograph of a young child, covered in dust, standing amidst the rubble, clutching a book. That single image captured the urgent need to help educate the most vulnerable and disadvantaged. It struck a deep chord within me, inspiring me to raise funds to rebuild a school near my parents’ region in Nepal, which had been devastated by the earthquake. That moment gave life to the vision of “Educate.”

Addressing Barriers to Education

My passion for education is deeply personal. I know firsthand the longing to learn and the frustration of seeing that dream out of reach. Raised by a struggling single mother in a culture where single parenthood carries a heavy stigma, I witnessed her determination to provide for me and my sister despite immense challenges. I excelled in school, but the financial burden was too great for our little family, and I had to abandon my education. This experience shaped my belief in the transformative power of education.

Building and Supporting Schools

Through Educate, I am dedicated to fundraising to support organizations providing safe spaces for girls to rebuild their lives and gain access to education. I firmly believe that education is one of the most powerful tools to prevent trafficking and to break the cycle of poverty and exploitation faced by disadvantaged children and young girls.

From my own personal journey, I am most passionate about two things: helping women and educating children. Together, these two missions drive me to create lasting change for those in need.
